A message from Kate McKenzie

Many successful business women I know pay tribute to other people who have helped them on their way, people they have admired or whose advice or example they have followed.

For women, the support and inspiration of other women who have faced many of the same challenges, is especially valuable.

It is for that reason that I am honoured to be the Telstra Business Women’s Awards Ambassador for the first time in 2010.

Not only do the Awards provide a national stage for celebrating the achievements of outstanding business women, but also they provide a pantheon of women who provide inspiration and crucial motivation for countless other women in their own careers.

Over the years the Awards have highlighted hundreds of talented and successful women from diverse backgrounds, many of whom have made it against significant odds.

Awards finalists often say the experience allows them to step out of their demanding business lives to meet with peers, share ideas and learn from others, support one another and to build networks.
