2019 Telstra Business Women’s Awards
Terms and Conditions of entry

We're delighted you want to participate in the 2019 Telstra Business Women's Awards.

This document is our 'terms and conditions'. If you want to participate in the awards program, you'll need to adhere to a few things that we've outlined for you below.

As with any fair competition, if you don't comply with these terms, we have the right to disqualify you or declare your entry ineligible so it's important to take note of these terms.

Here’s the nitty-gritty

The Telstra Business Women’s Awards (Awards) are conducted by Telstra Corporation Limited ABN 33 051 775 556 of Level 2, 400 George Street, Sydney NSW 2000 – that includes “Telstra”, “we”, “us” and “our”.

One last thing – any reference to "you" or "your" includes you in your personal capacity.

Who can enter?

In order to enter the Awards, you need to:

  • Live in Australia and be an Australian citizen or resident;
  • Not be employed by us, a Sponsor or anyone directly affiliated with the Awards;
  • If you’re 30 years or younger when entries close on 14 November 2018, you can enter into the Emerging Leader Award category;
  • If you're entering the Small Business Award category, you need to have been operating the business for at least 2 years as of 14 November 2018;

You also won’t be able to enter if we have a financial interest in your business or if you’ve been involved in the judging of the Awards in the past 3 years. Lastly, we encourage all people who identify as women to apply, regardless of your gender at birth.

How do you enter?

Instructions on how to enter, the Awards categories, prizes and the process for judging is set out at www.telstrabusinesswomensawards.com. These sections also form part of the terms.

To enter, you need to:

  • Comply with these Terms;
  • Submit your entry at www.telstrabusinesswomensawards.com/nominate;
  • Be available to come to all Awards events and activities – including judging days, State and National workshops and dinners;

Now for the hard stuff. We can make your entry ineligible or disqualify you if we think you or your business is involved in any activity that is illegal, fraudulent, can cause harm to us and our reputation, or if you provide any false or misleading information. If this happens, we can withdraw any award and associated prizes that you’ve received. We may also ask that you no longer promote yourself and/or your business as being associated with the Awards, us or our Sponsors. This clause survives the expiration of the Period.

That’s a mouthful we know! But make sure you read those conditions carefully as we take the integrity of our Awards program seriously. We’re proud of the Awards program and all our Alumni.
